Year 1993 when Ramil D. Soliveres published his first book under SGE Printers. He was awarded as the Best New Writer of the said publication on the same year via ‘May Ngiti Kang Hahalik Sa Bukas’ which starred Digna de Dios. He wrote dozens of books for SGE Printers, and a few for 18K Romances, Pinoy Romances and My Sweet Valentine, until he was offered a contract from PHR.
When asked for a pen name, Ramil D. Soliveres did not have a second thought and provided PHR with the name Digna de Dios, his very first heroine. As Digna de Dios, he wrote over a hundred books, but he considered ‘Halik Sa Apoy’ and ‘The Young Amanda’ as his biggest break. ‘Halik Sa Apoy’ labeled Digna de Dios as the nation’s Hottest Author while ‘The Yong Amanda’ settled the name as one of the country’s bestselling authors.
Under the name were unforgettable love stories like ‘For Always’, ‘Dearest’, ‘Sa Bawat Sandaling Hiram’, ‘Madame Americaine’, ‘Hell Is My Heaven’, ‘Inseparable’ to name a few. Digna de Dios was the name behind hit series ‘Bad Boys’ and ‘Mirabella’.
Ramil D. Soliveres stopped writing in 2001 and pursued a teaching career. He taught Communication Arts, Technical Writing and Personality Development in tertiary classes in Virac, Catan duanes.
In 2006, he joined the Media, and presently he is among Bicol’s most credible and respected journalists. He hosts a daily Public Affairs Radio Program, and maintains columns and news reports on regional newspapers.
